Gratitude
In trying to live a life devoid of as much pretense (and expense) as possible, I’ve found a new sort of gratitude unfolding within myself like the petals of a flower. From my days of past excess, I have come to a place where I now find gratitude for the smallest and insignificant[*] things.
(In) Significant (Or Perhaps Very Significant) Gratitude List. I am grateful for:
- An apple that I forgot about
- Organic shampoo and conditioner acquired for free with Optimum Points
- Trading web site work for herbal tinctures
- Being able to purchase bulk organic seeds to sprout
- Plastic containers so that I can take a sprout breakfast to Bible Study
- The selection of delicious fruit teas at our Wednesday morning studies
- For the travel mug I use so that I will always have hot tea
- When my partner takes me out for a bowl of $6 vegetable pho
- Watching movies he has downloaded while holding his hand
- Feeling the warmth of his body while he sleeps at night
- LOVE
