Life Long Learning
My love of learning is practically a legend. Studying infuses me with energy and ignites my passions. Religion, philosophy, and history are my favourite areas of learning. A BA in Classical Studies, B Sc. in Parapsychology, and a B Msc. in Metaphysics succintly sums me up as an individual. Imagine my surprise to discover Christian Leaders Institute – an online Bible School that is completely FREE!

Retreat
While my husband skied with his son, I sent myself off to a day retreat to the Fo Goang Shan Humanist Buddhist temple in Mississauga, Ontario. A day of tea, vegan food, meditation (about 3 hours!), practicing Tai Chi, and exploring the library. It was mindful, peaceful. and quite liberating to have so much time to do nothing (and everything). Retreat is not a place – it’s a state of mind.

The Perfect Gift
For Christmas, my husband and I mutually decided that our gift for the other was ourselves. The perfect gift is rarely found in stores. XXOO

Stop Bitching
We all have this incredible ability. Our perceived position in society, notions of success, or material wealth matters NOT.
Everyone has the power to motivate and inspire. Everyone has the ability to make someone smile. Everyone has the gift to make someone’s day.
Why then, are we too busy complaining rather than being grateful?
I don’t especially care for being disabled. A wheelchair is not my preferred mode of transportation, and pain does not appeal to me. However, putting that aside: life is WONDERFUL and I am so excited about all of my projects and plans.
Here are my 4 simple words to live by:
Stop Bitching, Start Enriching!

Art from the Heart
There is a very special person in my life. Her name is Starryn Elora, and she is the most beautiful child I have ever laid my eyes on or held in my arms. A wee precious little angel… and imp this niece of mine is. For her first birthday, I needed a means to express my feeling for her in artistic medium. I have been an on-again off-again painter for years, and I suspect the switch is flipping on-again. I couldn’t think of anything more representational of the love I have for Starryn than to spend days covered with paint, creating something beautiful. In this rat race of a society that many of us are chained to, I believe one of the most precious gifts is that of time. I will always give mine.

Save Paper!
Impossible not to crack a smile!
I’m not going to take this approach personally, but I do need to stop wasting paper and other bathroom products mindlessly. Now I have a mission: waste not, save plenty.
